Birth Assistants of Boulder (BABI) is a group of professional birth doulas, supporting women and their families through the non-medical aspects of childbirth. Since 1996 BABI has worked with hundreds of Boulder families, helping them have their best possible birth experiences.

Women accompanied by a doula throughout labor experience a lower cesarean rate, fewer medical interventions and shorter labors than those who labor without a doula.* In our experience, these women also feel greater satisfaction with their births and have better success at breastfeeding.

Our doulas have experience with un-medicated birth, medicated birth, cesarean, VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean), hospital and home birth.
